Knutsford Music Tuition is the new location of Northwich School of Music which was taken over by its current Musical Director Phil Brown in 1976. Having completed his professional training at Liverpool/Chester Universities Phil then won a scholarship at the state University of New York studying piano and composition. In 1985, Phil was awarded an Honorary Fellowship for his work in developing Contemporary music in the UK. In May 2019, Phil received an Honorary BEd from Chester University for services to music education. Phil is also a member of the ISM.
